Anchor Photo Album Display Box

Just sharing an anchor photo album display box that measures approximately 20 1/2” tall x 23” wide x 3 7/8” depth.

When I started making this album presentation box I wanted it to house a photo album 8” wide and had an anchor template in mind. But while crafting there were so many adjustments to the box/template size that eventually the end product was different and I do not have exact measurements or template. Nevertheless, I thought I would share the general idea used to make this anchor album holder.

I made two open boxes from heavy chipboard the same width and depth. I made a chipboard anchor shape ½” shorter than the base box (my base box was 10 ½” tall and the anchor shape was 10” tall). The top of the anchor shape was ½” taller than my box top (box top is 5 ½” tall and the anchor shape was 6” tall). This created an overhang to sit on the ledge on the bottom.

To make the chipboard flexible to create curves I used my personal trimmer with the blade as it did not cut through the chipboard. I scored in ¼” increments on the part of the chipboard that I wanted to curve/shape. Do not cut through the chipboard just score it. This will allow the chipboard to bend around the curves.

I hope you enjoyed your visit and I would love to see the album display case you create!
